Organization
Organization settings help admins describe how the workspace is actually staffed. Bnder uses that structure for team assignment, permissions, availability hints, vacation handoff, and automatic ticket routing.
Organization tools are available in Workspace Settings -> Organization for admins with MANAGE_SETTINGS. Ticket routing policies live in Workspace Settings -> Tickets because they decide who owns new or risky tickets.
Use these guides depending on what you want to set up:
- Organization Structure: create teams, arrange the org chart, assign members, review permissions, and clean up stale references.
- Member Approval: keep internal assignment pickers focused on approved workspace members.
- Vacation Handoff: let members plan absence and choose a replacement for open work.
- Ticket Routing with People: route new tickets by team, capacity, rotation, fallbacks, and vacation coverage.
What Organization controls
Organization settings can store:
- People teams and team hierarchy
- Team leads and managers
- Member profiles, titles, departments, skills, and managers
- Routing eligibility and backup users
- Vacation replacement periods
- Team and member permissions
- Internal member approval for assignment pickers
- Default escalation users for ticket routing
Team hierarchy is not only visual. When someone belongs to a child team, Bnder can also treat them as part of the parent team for task assignment filters, event invites, permissions, capacity, and routing.
Who should use it
Use Organization settings if your workspace has teams, support queues, rotations, manager relationships, or planned absence coverage.
Small teams can start with one or two simple teams. Larger teams can import Discord roles, apply a template, or build a chart branch by branch.
Seat requirement
People Management and ticket routing automation are Pro workspace features. If the workspace does not have the required seat, existing organization data is kept, but the Pro-only tools are not available until the workspace is upgraded again.
