Data deletion

When you stop using our services, we will delete your data from our systems. This process happens automatically and can take up to 30 days.

Download your account data

Before deleting your account, you can request a download from User Settings -> Legal when data export is available for your account.

Bnder prepares the archive first. When it is ready, return to the same settings page to download the file.

How do we determine when to delete your data?

For workspace members

Periodically, we check connected workspace membership. In Discord-backed workspaces, this includes Discord server membership. When we detect that a user has left a workspace, we will delete their data from our systems. This includes data associated with that user, like assigned tasks, but not data associated with the workspace itself or other users in the workspace. Event log entries are kept as described in How long are logs stored?, even if the user leaves the workspace.

For workspace data

When a workspace stops using our services, we will delete all data associated with that workspace from our systems. For Discord-backed workspaces, we detect this by checking if the Discord server has any of our bots (Task Manager, Knowledge Manager, or Calendar Manager) in it. If the Discord server has none of our bots, we will delete all data associated with that workspace from our systems.

Backups

In case of data loss on our side, we have daily backups of our systems. These backups are stored for 30 days and are used to restore the data in case of a data loss. We do not restore data from backups for individual users. These backups are only used for disaster recovery.
