Mentions and Automation
Virtual coworkers respond in two situations: when a task is created and when they are mentioned in comments.
Automatic task reviews
When a new task is created, each coworker that can work on the task's project can post a short review comment. The review focuses on the coworker's department and expertise and aims to highlight missing details, risks, or next steps.
Mentioning a coworker
You can mention a virtual coworker in a task comment the same way you mention users:
- Type
@in the comment field. - Select the coworker from the suggestion list.
- Post the comment.
The coworker replies in the same thread. Their messages are labeled as AI-generated in the UI.
Assigned coworkers and comments
If a virtual coworker is assigned to a task, they can also react to new comments even if they are not mentioned. They only respond when the new comment is relevant to their expertise. If it is not relevant, they stay silent.
What they see
When responding, a coworker can use:
- The task title, description, and existing comments.
- The language configured for the workspace.
- Any tools allowed by their permissions.
They do not post unless triggered by a new task or a direct mention.
