Getting started with Calendar Manager
You must have "Manage Server" permissions or be the owner of the server to add a bot to a Discord server.
Once you have clicked on the "Authorise" button, the bot will join your server and you will be able to see its slash commands.
Getting a basic understanding
Setup
After adding the bot to your server, you can get a guided tour to set up some basic settings by running the following command:
Create an event
We will go through some of the most common commands to get a basic understanding.
First, create a event:
Command Options
Required | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
Yes | name | The name of the event |
Yes | start | The start date and time of the event |
To then display your calendar, use:
Depending on the time of year, you may see the event "My first event" in the list. If not, click the buttons till you find it.
Inviting someone
To invite someone to the event, use:
Command Options
Required | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
Yes | event_id | The id of the event to invite to. Can be found in the event list or when creating a new event. |
Yes | invitee | The user to invite to the event |
The user SomeUser will now receive a DM notification from the bot where they can accept or decline the invitation.
