Getting started with Calendar Manager

You must have "Manage Server" permissions or be the owner of the server to add a bot to a Discord server.


Once you have clicked on the "Authorise" button, the bot will join your server and you will be able to see its slash commands.

Getting a basic understanding

Setup

After adding the bot to your server, you can get a guided tour to set up some basic settings by running the following command:

/setup

Create an event

We will go through some of the most common commands to get a basic understanding.

First, create a event:

/event create
name
My first event
start
12/31/2024 23:59

Command Options

YesstartThe start date and time of the event

To then display your calendar, use:

/event list

Depending on the time of year, you may see the event "My first event" in the list. If not, click the buttons till you find it.

Inviting someone

To invite someone to the event, use:

/event invite
event_id
1
invitee
@SomeUser

Command Options

RequiredNameDescription
Yesevent_idThe id of the event to invite to. Can be found in the event list or when creating a new event.
YesinviteeThe user to invite to the event

The user SomeUser will now receive a DM notification from the bot where they can accept or decline the invitation.
