Import an external calendar

Subscribe to an external iCal feed to see its events in Bnder. This is a one-way import: editing an event in Bnder does not update the source calendar. To show Bnder events in another app, see Calendar integration.

Steps to Sync

  1. Open the Bnder app and open Workspace settings → Calendar
  2. Locate External calendar syncs
  3. Click on "Add Calendar" in the calendar syncs section
  4. Set a name for the calendar sync
  5. Copy the iCal Link from your preferred calendar app
  6. Paste the iCal Link into the Bnder app
  7. Save the changes

Once you've completed these steps, Bnder can display events from the subscribed calendar. Manage the originals in the source calendar.

You can paste either a regular HTTPS iCal URL or a webcal:// subscription link. Bnder converts webcal:// links automatically before syncing.

The calendar URL and every redirect must resolve to a public internet address. Localhost, private-network, link-local, credential-bearing, and non-HTTP(S) URLs are rejected. If a provider redirects its feed to an internal address, the sync is stopped instead of following that redirect.

Removing a calendar sync also removes the events imported from that calendar. If cleanup cannot be saved, the sync stays available so you can retry instead of leaving imported events without their calendar connection.

Restrictions

Please note that syncing is one-way from your calendar app to Bnder. Changes made in Bnder will not be reflected in your third-party calendar app.
